Named after the Wagon Box Fight of 1867, the Wagon Box Inn and Cabins is a local landmark in Northern Wyoming. At nearly 100 years of age, it has stood the test of time and its warmth and charm is felt immediately. The Wagon Box is the place to stay, eat, and play in Story.

     Here at the Wagon Box, we offer a full service restaurant with an extensive menu. The menu includes fine items such as steak and lobster, salmon, hamburgers (of course), as well as other in season specialties. All of which are enjoyed in our dinning room that has a fabulous western atmosphere. Our full service bar is one of northern Wyomings most popular night spots with a friendly small town feel. With karaoke, live entertainment, and a pool table, you’ll never be bored.

     There are three clean, comfortable cabins to spend those wonderful cool Wyoming evenings in. All have been updated and offer a fireplace, full bathrooms, coffee maker and best of all, willow porch swings to enjoy the magnificent views and wildlife. From your front porch swing you’ll II find a variety of views including; North Piney creek that runs within feet of the cabins, the fishing pond and the Big Horn Mountains. There are many deer and they are frequently almost close enough to touch.
     The Wagon Box Is the perfect place to host your business retreat or meeting, church retreat, or family reunion. We also host many weddings throughout the year. We have three location options to choose from to host your event. Outdoor, on our huge lawn with towering pine trees, the Lodge, with an enormous rock fireplace and some impressive wildlife mounts or the loft with its rustic decor including wagon wheel chandeliers and wood dance floor. All offer a bar, plenty of space for a sit down dinner, or possibly a band.
